We’re heading to Panama...

On Jan. 1 2012, we decided that this was the year of CHANGE. How that looked we had no idea. Since coming home from Korea in 2010 we've been constantly praying for direction. We knew God wanted more of us. We've always known that. But where and how? And now with a kid in the mix, the fears grow exponentially and we keep on moving on in life.

By listening to the fear inside us we then unconsciously let fear rule our lives, when it should be God, and thus we freeze and become stagnant in life. We do know that we want to do SOMETHING. As the days and months pass by we know we aren't living up to our furthest potential as long as we stay what we are doing.

We felt God move and open doors for us to go to Panama. Yet after our week there we were more confused than ever. However, it never left our hearts. We still aren't certain what our plan is supposed to be. But we also can't move forward unless we finish exploring the possibility of Panama. Our plan is to raise financial support and move down to Santa Catalina, Panama for 6 months to a year. There is a young missionary couple who is there doing amazing things in a village. They are ecstatic about the physical, emotional and spiritual support that another couple will bring and help them in this village. ( http://jordanylindsay.shutterfly.com)

We want to seek God’s will in our lives and live out our faith by serving in full-time ministry in Panama.  As humans we will constantly have doubts, but we strongly feel we need to reduce the 'noise' and fears around us and answer the call to step out and serve alongside the Guy’s and their on-going Santa Catalina ministry.

We know that God has called us all in some capacity and we also know not everyone has the same calling on their life and not everyone can/want to travel and live internationally. But God made us this way and we rejoice in it!

For our lives we want God to be rulers of our heart, not our fear and uncertainty.

Lots of love,

KC and Jonathan

Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God present yourselves a living sacrifice to God, holy and acceptable, which is your spiritual act of worship. And do not be conformed any longer to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2
